Tsang received his musical training at Hong Kong Baptist University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with first class honours in B.A. Music, major in piano performance and pedagogy, and graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in M.A. Music with fellowship provided under the Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme. He received the Dean's List honor as well for his excellence in academic result in his postgraduate study. He studied piano with Raymond Young, violin with Ryan Ho, viola with Felix Ungar and harpsichord with David Chung. He has obtained LTCL in both piano and violin performance. He is having advanced violin studies with Mr Albert Cheng Yue - faculty of HKAPA music school.
In the past few years, Tsang received various awards in piano competitions, including first runner up in 2017 "Chopin Memorial Prizes" Hong Kong - International Piano Open Competition Chopin Waltz Group, second runner up in 2015 Hong Kong (Asia) Youth Piano Competition Chopin Class and first runner up in Hong Kong Youth Performance Art Festival Piano Open Class 2015. In 2016, Tsang was awarded the HKSAR Government Talent Development Scholarship and in 2017, he was selected as one of the outstanding students of art faculty. For the academic performance, he appeared in the Dean's list from 2015 to 2016 and also the President Honour Roll from 2017 to 2019.
Throughout his studies, Tsang has participated in various piano masterclasses conducted by renowned pianists, including Prof. Gabriel Kwok, Ms Nancy Loo, Prof. Roland Batik, Prof. Ralf Heiber and Prof. Franz Zettl, Prof Corey Hamm, Dr. Emilie Capulet and pianist Ivan Yanakov. For harpsichord, he attended masterclasses by Dr. Michael Tsalka and Prof. Joyce Lindorff. As a vivid accompanist, Tsang has performed with soloists and choruses in all major venues.
In addition, Tsang is enthusiastic in orchestral and choral performance. He was a violinist of Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra and Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra, which performed with Eriko Daimo, Anne Akiko Meyers and other international artists. In addition, he was selected as a concerto solo violinist in CCC Ming Yin College 45th Anniversary concert in Academic Community Hall. Tsang was offered a merit-based full-tuition scholarship by Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong as a violinist. He is now a violinist and violist of Herehearmusic - a music chamber group formed in 2019.
Besides, Tsang is also an active chorister. He is a member of Cantoria Hong Kong of Hong Kong Baptist University, and he has participated in notable events. In 2016, he participated in a concert tour to United Kingdom, performing at Cambridge University and Royal Holloway University, collaborating with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and the choir of Royal Holloway. Moreover, he participated in productions “Hong Kong Odyssey”, "The Suppliant Women" and "Madame White Snake", during the 45th, 46th and 47th Hong Kong Arts Festival from 2017 to 2019. He was also selected as the bass solo in Holiday Choral Concert held by HKBU music department in 2018. Since 2019, Tsang has been a bass member of SingFest choral Academy, an organization financially supported by the HKADC.

Tsang is currently a full time piano and violin teacher. He works as accompanist as well. His students are mainly from elite schools in Hong Kong, including Yew Chung international school, St.Paul co-educational college, Diocesan Boys' School, Heep Yunn School, Po Leung Kuk Camões Tan Siu Lin Primary School, King's College, Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School, French International School, York International Kindergarten, St. Mary's Canossian School and Ying Wa Primary School, etc. Besides, his students also include university students and professional working adults such as school music teacher, bankers and nurse.
